If you'll read what I've written you'll see that nowhere did I say NEVER give that information.
I'm just saying get to know people well before each progressive step. And that goes for guys as well as girls - one of the main things I'd advocate is equal standing in those regards.
You don't have to be paranoid to be careful. You can be aware of risks and take precautions, while cheerfuly expecting the best (again, that goes for women AND men!)
One of the main ways a guy can avoid accusations is to ENCOURAGE a woman to take precautions, and to communicate her feelings and desires. That way you can take the lead and be supportive, and protect yourself at the same time. And rather than having to feel bitter towards women for being cautious you can create an environment where they feel safe to invest and risk more than they might have otherwise.
