I've been trying to think of how to say this in the most tactful way. It's been bothering me a lot lately how many private conversations seem to be going on here on this board, and how many conversations seem to me to be nearly completely AB related as opposed to LG (up to even referring to LG's AS ABgirls)
I tried to bring it up for discussion by asking questions about LG vs AB...and I really enjoyed the answers! I agree that it's hard to define exactly what LG is and I don't mean to exclude anyone at all. I just want to keep the focus on LG topics.
Especially since Bethan mentioned that our board is getting ever closer to being archived (so people would be unable to view old posts) I think it's important that we keep private conversations private and repetitive topics to a minimum. After all, what risk is there in coming up with an anonymous type email address to converse, as many here do?
If I'm out of line in mentioning this, please forgive me. And if general consensus is that these posts enhance our community then of course they should continue.
I'm just feeling protective over this board because it's the only place I (and all of other LG's I have talked with) have ever felt comfortable and like it's OUR safe space. If there's no distinction between AB vs. LG then what is the point of having a LG board...why don't we all post on the AB board? There are TONS of AB boards to have AB discussions on, but to my knowledge this is the only LG board.
So when I (and others I've talked with) start feeling excluded and like "our" board is becoming just another AB forum and loosing it's uniqueness it really makes me sad. I want it to continue to be a place where I can feel at home, and where other LG's just discovering this (and daddy's of/wanting LG's) will feel welcome and as though they've found a place they can truly fit in and feel safe as well.
Again, if this is not the way the majority feels then I apologize and will perhaps endeavor to create a new board for those of us who share my feelings.
