Having raised a couple of real baby girls, I just don't see all these limitations to the AB role. Real babies are in diapers 'til about 2 and half or 3 years old. When they're only 14 months old they're already walking but still dependend. Some babies are very independent and won't sit in high chairs after they're one year old! They're also talking at 18 month pretty profusely. They're vocabulary may not be great, but they do make an effort. Pediatrician encourage parents to drop the bottle habit by the time they're 18 months or it will be very hard to the kid to give it up, same thing with pacifiers. The only thing that they have real limitations with is the fact that they DO need to wear diapers, up until the time that they physically have the capabilities to control they're urinary sphinters. In my experience also, the most toddlers can tell when they need to poo a lot better than when they need to pee. So all of this crawling and babble nonsense seems like self-imposed artificial restrictions compared to how a real baby acts.

Toddlers want to grow up, but they still have to wear diapers and be looked after. The roleplay fun comes in when your darling AB girl wants to do adult things, but realizes that she still needs her Daddy to hold her hand, change her, take care of her, bath her, and fix her food. I guess my point here is that role is really much more flexible than most people think it is; and combining AB and LG roles is really quite natural. The only real difference is that AB girls have to wear diapers 24/7 out of necessity and can't do everything by themselves, even though they think they can.
