I made a thread about this very distinction a few months ago!
Personally,as a wannabe-Daddy-of-an-ABgirl,I know that no woman can go straight into the extreme infant role you describe.And I feel that a relationship I started would have to take her babystep by babystep to see just how far she COULD be comfortable regressing.It doesn't pleasure the partners if one would rather not be in role.
I wouldn't take a girl further down than she could be happy,and if she couldn't go far down at all it would make me unhappy.(I HATE being sassed and bratted,which to some LG types is the fun part for them).So the ageplay would have to be a kind that worked for both of us.I don't know how likely 24/7 use or need of diapers would be to ever be achieved,but I am uncomfortable with the "potty training" business since it implies that the course of her evolution is OUT of diapers and her STAYING at whatever level of diapering she can reach is very important to me.
