Thanks A. and Stefie!! This is exactly the type of discussion I was looking for!! I'm interested in the opinion of EVERYONE here, including LG's, AB's, Daddies and Mommies (both experienced and those who are still looking), Caregivers, Sissies and anyone else I may have left out of the list!

I assume we're all here for the same reason - an interest in "Little Girl" things.

But labels can be such a tricky thing! Maybe I just have too much of a support-group mentality or WAY overthink everything hehe. The thing is, I believe as humans...we need words and labels to make sense of our world and ourselves.

But it's such a fine line! People should have a right to identify in the way they choose. But at the same time, if you use a certian word to mean 50 different things it becomes difficult to communicate, and difficult for there to be unique groups.

So how do you find a definition large enough to not exclude too many people, but small enough to be specific? What things are essential to LG and what things are excluded from being LG?

For instance...for me...the things essential to LG are a sense of carefree freedom, of being loved unconditionally, getting to play, enjoying things that "normal" people would consider childish (like toys, dolls, kid's style clothes and diapers etc)

There are LOTS of things I'd exclude from being LG, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy LG interests and other interests as well. And there can be some crossover on some things.

The main reason I started thinking about this so much is that I'm seeing posts on this board which I personally would really think are AB rather than LG. For instance, sleeping in cribs and especially complete lack of bladder and bowel control. To me, that implies either infancy or a medical disability. If I had a real child past the age of about 2 who seemed to have absolutely no control or awareness over her bodily functions, I'd be very worried and seeking medical help!! Of course accidents and stubborness are different - and things some if not lots of young children experience.

So...since to me that's AB not LG ..and I don't want to exclude anyone....it's made me curious how everyone else sees things, and what those posters feel makes them LG's (or caregiver/parent to a LG) rather than AB.

I love this board so much! It's great having a place to feel safe and talk about LG things. But I'd also love it even more if we could have more adult discussions like this as well!
