I'll put on my big girl thinking hat for a sec here and make a suggestion..... don't change. I'm not saying that everyone should just be themselves and not use reasonable judgements for what decent behavior is, but if you change for someone then it may not work out in the long run anyway. Just be yourself and take things slow and maybe look for friends first cuz its better to base a relationship on friendship anyway. :-) Hope this helps and good luck in your hunt for love.
