I've had numerous correspondences that never turned into anything too...also with women in other countries. There have also been a few that I talked on the phone with several times...but never got to meet.
One of the four was married...and had a husbond not understanding of her fetish...so what she had with me was sort of a "cheating on her husbond" thing...and it came to a rather dramatic stop when he found out. I have never heard from her since...and haven't made any effort to contact her....mostly because she has a kid and lives in a marriage...and has a pretty exposed job being a lecturer at one of the biggest uni's here.
Two were into it before meeting me...but had never lived it out before or after me. We met in local fetish related chatrooms...and took it to the IRL level.
The last one was one I introduced it to...and had the longest relationship with. For her it was mostly a thing she could relate to through me...and the fact that she had some S&M tendencies. But I don't consider it likely that she will ever go down that lane with anyone else.
Yes...all failed at the romantic level...wich I consider to be the only real factor where a relationship should be able to fail.
Regardless of compatibility on a sexual level...it still has to be founded on love and common attraction.
Some of the relationships might never have been engaged if there wasn't the sexual curiosity factor for both...and failed when that part lost the novelty...and the ability (or lack of it) to live in harmony on an everyday basis stood it's test.
But all of them were really special...and our experiences still mean a lot to all of us.
One of them still calls me daddy every time we speak or write...and it is kinda heartbreaking that I wasn't able to fall in love with her "grown up" side...allthough I really loved and cared for her little girl side.
Would be nice if the discussion sometimes focused a little more on the feelings and real issues in a daddy/LG relationship...instead of the mechanics and pure sexual sides of it.
