I'm relatively new to this too. I'm a daddy, who, like you, only read posts on message boards like this one until I was ready to put up my own. I recently posted myself for the first time and began exchanging email with first time little/baby girls. I found that talking to other newbies was a great way to take "baby steps" into this world.
