I get the feeling that what you mean by "modern" is styles that I would not like to see on an ABgirl.The "sissy" angle of accommodating cross-diapered men annoys me,but puffs and frills are a must.No tomboyishness at baby ages!
A babydoll that shows off the adult figure AND expresses the infant role,or a footed sleeper that snugly guarantees she'll spend her whole night diapered,are fine.I suspect the ideal ones would have to be made to order and measure.
