I started the "girls who can pass" conversation,and Kitty's daddy chimed in with his experiences,to which I reacted...mainly illustrating differences with regard to myself.The "What kind of daddy..." remark is centered on how I feel I would be perceived,if I were with a woman ostensibly my 12-year-old daughter,if she had a lip piercing.People would take me for the kind of man who would allow a 12-year-old a disfigurement like that,and I'd be horrified to give that impression.
Obviously,there are people who don't mind such things but those of us who do have a right to say so.I don't want to get into a shouting match here,I may write Kitty's daddy privately to make sure he took nothing personally (he seems to have had the sense not to,unlike you).
