I have something like that, I have smaller ones I use to protect my chairs when I sit. On my bed I have a large vinyl sheet and on top of that is my absorbant soaker pad. Sometimes I have a regular linen sheet over all of that.
My mattress is quite firm so nothing "pools",instead it runs to the head of my bed reaches my pillow. My back gets all wet.So I try to wear a good enough diaper so it doesn't leak. Wearing plastic pants over my disposable helps to hold back leaking.I'm a side sleeper so often pee finds it's way out through the hip area where the tapes are.The plastic pants will trap this escaped pee and when I roll over in my sleep some re-absorbes back into the diaper. I may invest in some cloth diapers for night and keep my disposables for the daytime.
