Nope, no two night rule in my upbringing. However, mom periodically took me out of diapers hoping I’d stop. During these periods she made a big deal of limiting fluids after super, emptying bladder before bed, etc.. Didn’t work, I was soon back in them.
Guess the two night rule assumes the child will be motivated to stay dry because he does not want to sleep in diapers. That wasn’t me, even as a child a side of me enjoyed bed-wetting and most all that accompanied it. Might even have been counterproductive, if perchance I’d had a dry night suspect I’d make sure it didn’t happen again to keep the diapers!
