Agreed, Anna. I've found that if one is even reasonably careful about airing things out, then mattresses hold up pretty well. Some say that you don't want too much moisture getting down into the springs and such, but I think that probably takes a while and can be dealt with via water, corn meal, or hydrogen peroxide. Plus a little sunlight.
Heck, when I don't sleep diapered and just wet my pajamas, as long as I hang them to dry, they're usually okay for several days before they start to get too "whiffy."
