Mine was always changed.
I was usually in nappies but I always had a plastic sheet on my bed so on the occaisions that I wasn't and the actual bed got wet, all that usually needed changing was the sheet. It is strange because whenever I wet the bed these days I usually get the duvet wet too. Maybe it's because it's deliberate in adult life I wet in a different way or something. But back then normally there would just be a wet sheet and wet pj's, very little got wet 'above' so to speak.
