Little story of what happened to me last night. I went to a little party and had a few beers. I had work today so I ended up drinking a ton of water before I went to bed to try and sober up a bit. I went to bed at 1am then at about 2:30am I was having this bizarre dream where I really needed to use the toilet. I half woke up during this but I was pretty out of it, though quite aware that I was lying in bed. Anyway I somehow decided that it would be ok if I just wet my bed so I did. Completely soaked it. And I don't regularly wet the bed so I didn't have any protection down. I woke up properly about another half an hour later with little recollection of what had happened, so I was quite surprised (and what surprise could possibly be better) to find that I was lying in a smelly sticky wet bed, just like I was 7 again.
After I'd enjoyed the bed for a few minutes I realized that this was definitely far from ok. I live with my parents (I'm 18) and they normally wash all the sheets on Sunday morning, and since I had work I wouldn't be there to make sure they did not discover the wet bed. I've been found out a few times before and I feared that if they knew I'd been wetting again they'd make me put a plastic sheet on the bed or take me to a doctor about it. Not the kind of attention I want.
So I stripped my bed off and let the sheets air out, flipped the mattress and went back to sleep on the other side. I set my alarm early so I could wake up and put it all back in order before I went to work. The whole thing made me feel like suck a naughty little kid again. As always, it was horrifying and humiliating at the time, but a fantasy come true in retrospect.
So in the end I didn't get caught but now both sides of my mattress are badly stained. Previously I had a bedwetting side and a "good" side -- I kept the bedwetting side face-down, only flipping it over when I wanted to wet the bed, then flipping it back over once I was done with it. This results in some pretty suspect stains on the base half of my bed but hey, who else sees that but me.
