For me,the test of a D&S story is "how deep can the master take her WITHOUT ever crossing the line into refusing to take no for an answer,which instantly makes him undeserving of any gratification whatsoever?"

I admire the finesse by which a dominant moving step by step can have a woman ready to say yes to things she would never have imagined saying yes to when she started,but if he ever goes from ingenious bending to brutal breaking I regard the story as crap unless he winds up toast!

What do you mean by "happy couples who practice non-consensual Master/slave lifestyles"?...I wonder what you mean by non-consensual.
