I have had two succesful relationships that started online. The first lasted 6 mo and we are still friends, she was forced to move to NY. The second is almost 3 years and I couldn't imagine anything better. The biggest problem with online relationships can be geography. I had a good rlationship with someone that was in New Zealand, diffacult for someone in The US. Online relationships can work, you really get to know someone before the firs actual meeting. I don't know if they work for everyone, and not everyone is going to be an instant match.
