Hi kalory, that was a good story. Lucky that your pants didn't show any wetness. I assume it's different for boys and girls, at least for men the wetness spreads down the front so I would be the first to know if I was visible. If I wet my pants then I can always carry a bag or push a trolley in front of myself to cover the damage.
I once had an accident in a Tesco supermarket (one of the biggest supermarket chains in the UK), I badly needed a poo and only went in there to use the toilet. As I was walking through the store I just let go in my pants but to my horror a small lump fell straight down onto the ground. Now that was so embarrassing! I had to bend down and pick it up with my hands (eeewww), well rather that than just leave it lying there for some poor kid to tread in. Luckily I made it to the toilet without being noticed and cleaned myself up as best I could.
They have big security guards at the front of the store and I was so nervous walking back. But I made it. Like what you said in your story, I think my fear of being spotted was probably worse than the reality of it happening.
It's incidents like that that make me feel I really need diapers. I don't mind going in my pants, but I think it's awful just to poo on the floor! That's something I don't ever want to happen to me again.
