If you need a flutist, I can do foreboding, but crunchy will be a challenge to pull off :)
and an update: still slogging through ch. 4 of Sparrow's, although I've been writing significant portions of 6 and 7 in my head. Maybe a boot to the head might be the necessary inspiration.
