I'm glad you find my advice helpful,and value your feedback on how it works for you (different people's experiences vary) so I can give even better advice in the future.You don't always answer my questions about how you'd react to certain potential things happening,but I can understand if you don't feel you have answers.
I gather that your boyfriend's medical problem only involves his wetting diapers,not messing them;is that something you would have any interest in exploring?
(If so,I'd say to wait until you are a well-established wetter before you try it).
