I didn't say I wasn't helpful. Sure, I help when I can; helping is what I do best in life. That isn't conflicting with only being interested in myself.
Notice the 5 "I" uses in only 2 sentences.
The question isn't whether or not I am capable of offering assistance to others; the question was about me not having friends outside the internet.
School, tutoring, volunteer work,... all involve interacting with others, which I am fine with doing, but when it comes down to hanging out and being intimate and sharing myself offline - well it just isn't something I enjoy doing. I like having the freedom of clicking the window on and off at my own will. Face to face often leads to lies about having to hurry off for appointments or ficticious emergencies if you want to get away from them.
Thanks for the complement. It did make me feel good. I do care what others reactions are - but a general reply explaining things is usually all it takes to clear things up if they have the wrong impression.
