Let me start by stating that I don't believe that the parent/child relationship is an appropriate one to share the existence of something like a fetish. My DL behaviour will remain a secret from them as far as I am concerned, forever. I think that in most cases, this would be a mutual desire. Like many children, I like to imagine that my parents never had sex - let alone had sex involving a batman costume and a pint of custard.
But I digress...
I have two kids both of pre-high school age. Ipso facto, I have little cash, scuffed walls, lego-shaped scars on the soles of my feet and an otherwise glamorous European car that smells curiously of vomit.
Little kids (< 4 years old) are amazingly oblivious to things that don’t directly capture their attention. Whilst I’d never dream of parading about in front of my toddler clad only in a nappy, I have no compunction with dealing with any after-bedtime toddler interventions whilst wearing one under my pymama pants or jeans.
Older ones are trickier. Now that my other is older, the opportunities to indulge in DL activity are being pushed further and further into smaller nooks and crannies in my life and calendar.
We’re now talking about putting them on at kiddie-bedtime and sleep in them (usually wet). I’ve been able to delay removing them until after the older one leaves for school sometimes by laying low. This gives me the chance to enjoy them for a while longer as our toddler could not be distracted by a 16 foot fluorescent pink gorilla whilst the morning cartoons are on.
So the short answer is that children are about as good for the ABDL lifestyle as myxomatosis is for rabbits but as “love will find a way”, so will your fetish. Be it of shorter duration and furtively snatched when the opportunity arises, opportunities WILL arise.
And doubtless as you again spend a Saturday afternoon trying to clean peanut butter out of your DVD player, your partner will again remind you of how it is all “worth it”.
