The urge incontinence will happen after you have used diapers diligently for several months. If you "cheat" and hold it until a convenient time to wet, you will not attain shrinkage. Bedwetting naturally will come after you've shrunk, and yes lots of fluids helps (eventually you will not wake up, but when you do just relax and wet your diaper.)
