Plastic pants yes, but you may also want to buy a re-usable soaker pad, also known as a saulk pad, to put under you, not as much hassle to wash as stripping your sheets over your matress cover. It's quilted, they come in a variety of sizes, depending how much area your torso roams around in through the night, they're absorbant quilted fabric on one side of the pad, and plasticated fabric backing on the other side. They're about as much hassle as washing a towel. Buy a few and have a pail style hamper to contain odour for them if you don't want to do laundry every day. When I've worked taking care of incontinant disabled adults in the group homes in the past, I found everyone uses them. Hospitals use them as well. You can buy disposable ones as well, but then of course, the cost adds up, and I don't feel they're as good.
