I've often bought diapers in public and enjoy it when I get a reaction. Generally, there isn't too much in terms of laughter--- perhaps a slight smile.
Onetime though, there were two young salesgirls, one of whom began to giggle a bit. The other tried to hold back but she soon started to giggle as well. Once they looked at each other, they began to laugh, which soon turned into ' tears down the cheeks' hysterics. Everyone was looking. Needless to say, I was very embarrassed , but I loved it.
On one other occasion, a lady behind me noticed the diapers and said, " I've never seen that brand of diapers before". The saleslady then told her, " they're for adults"--- then she looked directly at me. I think the lady behind me was just as emabarrassed as I was for bring it up.
