If you are skeptical, don't use it.
I first wrote it 4 years ago to learn Visual Basic. I was a Windows only program back then and it was pretty crude.
I rewrote it over the last 2 years to clean it up, make it cross platform and learn how to do some advanced stuff.
It has nothing evil and does no damage to your system. It installs absolutely nothing on your system. It's fully self contained and can be run from a USB drive in a kiosk at an Internet cafe.
BitTorrent is nice but it isn't always the best solution. If I want a really big file, like a feature movie, I use BitTorrent. If I want to browse someones photo collection and selectively download it, I use my P2P program. Torrents are most effective for huge files, not thousands of individual files.
Most AB/DLs are not Internet experts. Setting up BitTorrenet is beyond many peoples skill level. Setting up my program requires minimal skill.
1. Download it.
2. Run it.
3. Pick a nickname
4. Type "diapers" in the username and password fields.
5. Start downloading.
Since everything you download goes in your shared folder, you automatically have something to share!
In any case, try it or avoid it. I've been in the AB/DL community since 1995. Most everyone who has ever used my services can probably vouch for me.
