Fortunately, the BDSM Emblem is a precedent for this sort of thing working. Otherwise, I would be skeptical too. Think of it this way:

A tiny fraction of people are into pee, say 0.5% as an estimate. That's one in 200. How many people do you know? Unless you live in a cave, you probably know enough people that chances are you know a fair number of people who'd be into this. That's not even counting the people who you simply see in passing on a daily basis. All it takes is a glance in the mall to initiate contact.

The reason the BDSM Emblem can be common knowledge and covert is that only members of the BDSM community are willing to admit they know what it means. If you notice someone's pin, and mention what it means, what does the other person immediately assume about you? The only way the Swirly Drip will become known in vanilla culture is if "out" watersports people display it as a pride symbol, and that is avoidable with a little tact.

There is one thing, though, that will guarantee the Swirly Drip won't work, and that is if people don't use it.
