when I started my reply to his post, I going into more detail about how I thought if there were any differences, then they'd be in proportion to all social gender biases, and that I thought it extremely unlikely that there be any particularly conventional acceptance of female accidents, and global rejection of male's.
But then I realised I was getting far too academic, and I just settled on the "I doubt this is true" comment. I also think there is some basis for they type of comment he's making, but I think his comment is probably somewhat overstated. I find it easy to imagine situations where men and women would openly criticise a woman for pooping herself, but might say nothing to a man.
I dunno. There are obviously many many characteristics (of both pooper and audience) that would contribute to which pooper is shunned and which is excused. Sex is but one factor, and while I acknowledge that women probably do receive some favour, I remain quite unconvinced that women would receive any overwhelming favouritism in this domain.
