Hi All,
I apologise for problems on the new Photoboard. The main reason is that it's simply too popular, and the traffic is overloading the server. That's why it is getting slow, and doing weird things. We even got a new dedicated server for it, and it doesn't seem to have helped. Now we are looking into moving it to a better one again - hopefully with no downtime.
I know some people say they are not getting their confirmation emails, which could be caused by accidentally entering the wrong email address. It could also be caused by some gliche in the system, but I also know that several thousand people have received their emails successfully, so it seems unlikely. The programmers are going to set up a system where unactivated accounts are purged after 24 hours, so you can try to register again.
I'm afraid you will all just have to bear with us while these teething problems are sorted out.
One last point - I do hope some of you will consider joining the members area, so you can look at all the Photoboard archives. Unless some people join up, the cost of running the Photoboard may get too out of hand, and not be affordable. If a few people join up, it would go a long way to paying for itself.
