There was a news article of that event here in Finnish newspaper (Ilta-Sanomat or Iltalehti, can't remember which one, I read it but I didn't buy the paper) last week. It had description of the whole situation, the meal and the competition starting right after the meal. Article also said that some of the competitors had to empty themselves in their clothes and they had to lay there in their own poop for a long time. Sad thing is that the article didn't describe who of them did it... hopefully the ladies.
Then there was comment of some doctor of bacteria diseases or something like that, who said it was very dangereous in those conditions to lay in your own poop because of danger of infection. If they had a little wound or scratch in their skin, they could have had bacteria infection and possibly bloodpoisoning.
Competitors themselves thought the situation was very humiliating, but when asked, the arrangers said it was very fair competition and everything went fine. They just hadn't thought competitors would last that long, and on the other hand, the part of the point was the meal and its effects, to shorten the competition time. None of the competitors was forced to stay in the competition if they had to go. But the will to win took over the need to go :)
