For one of my girlfriends I took a floral print pair of shortalls and redid the crotch and leg seams with snaps.
I did the same thing with a gingham checked pair of shortalls but added elastic to the leg openings to make them look bubble suit like.
Both were worn in public during late night walks or long roadtrips.
