I don't equate the smell of cigarettes as being a particularly manly smell, probably because I grew up with and socialized with far more female smokers.
The smell of beer, however, I do find seems innately "masculine" to me, since I grew up with and socialized with mostly male drinkers. I wouldn't necessarily call it a "Daddy" smell, though. More a manly smell in general... like aftershave or something, only obviously not AS pleasant ;)
