I don't think it is induced. It is more like - suppression of the intelligence and senses that is caused by drinking. That lack 'allows' them to wet the bed in their sleep, instead of whatever their 'normal' reaction would be.
Actually, that comes close to my response about what it takes to pee in bed consciously. Many have suggested it takes nerve, bravery or guts, but I contend it takes more abandon - that point where you just don't care about it. A person that has been drinking has a lot of this and it allows them to pee in bed, or anywhere.
