I think for me it is the waking wet with my pee, regardless of how I got that way. Perhaps there is a level of laziness involved. I must admit that tanking up before bed allows me a couple of major gushers after I get into bed. Then I just go to sleep, and if, after that, I sense the need to pee, I just pee, in that half-awake state, somewhere between sleep and waking. If I have tanked up, I might pee as much as 5 or 6 times more through the night. There are other nights when I have little notion of wetting in bed, until after I am there, and just don't want to get up. I don't pee as much on those nights, but I do wake wet.
