It seems your Mom knew, or perhaps suspected, that all this was not accidental. I don't think you ever really said whether it was or not.
From a mother's standpoint, though, it is easy to see the dis-taste she must have felt, suddenly discovering that all the hard work to get you out of diapers went for naught. That's not a small effort. But it also sounds like she did not provide any room for protection from accidents, but you probably did not allow for that either, if a heavy discussion followed.
Knowing you had a discussion like that suggests that she now knows it is not accidental, and she (again) wants you to change. But she must also realize that it is time for you to live your life, and that she can't guide that any more. If she is Catholic, she knows that - it's in the Bible. But it also says that we should continue to honor our parents, respecting their views (probably means without argument), while at the same time expecting them to respect ours.
My last thought - don't let something like this cause a rift between you. If and when you know she is coming, put your things somewhere that she wont find them by accident; even if she is trying to help (Mom's are supposed to do that - didn't you know?). You could perhaps even transfer them into a different package, so that no question is raised. But remembere, if you try to hide them, she WILL find them.
