I concur with informing them that you may have a problem. Then they know to protect the bed in advance. I also think it is on us to be sure we proect the bed. I travel with disposable bed pads and place one under the sheet. I always use a diaper ina hotel. If it leaks, the pad keeps the mattress dry and only the sheet gets a little wet. You may not get comments or additional charges but the cost is passed on to all of the customers so we all pay with higher room fees.
