This often happened to me when I was a kid and often I would be made to lay in what I had done the night before as part of my punishment. At first this was uncomfortable but I got used to it and the only thing that upset me was being sent to bed early. Most of the kids in our street knew I was a bed wetter any way and I was far from the only one.
