A few weeks ago someone wrote a post with non-standard grammar and another poster responded in a similar way to them. The original poster got angry and posted that this board and the people on it, "sucked", (very mature). That, in turn, made people complain about posters insulting one another.
I wrote a post that in essences stated that we should all be respectful of each other. I did mean that the poster complaining about the grammar should have been a little more tolerant, and I do still believe that, but on the other hand, I too am getting tired of posts that look like a first grader wrote them. Yes, I know that I can use the “back” button on my computer, and do, but should that be the norm? I’m respectful of people who write poorly, have English as a second language, and have a few grammatical or spelling mistakes, but on the other hand, shouldn’t other posters be respectful of the people they post for? In this day and age of spell and grammar check, it is truly not that hard to run your post through them and then cut and past it into the comments area.
