Thank you for your reply. I too live on my own I guess a lot of us do. When I was a younger I used to get a lot of stick from my family over my bedwetting. I think my parents were just sick of it as I wet almost every night through my childhood and then more often than not all through my teens although this was often on purpose. By this time it was just accepted I wet the bed and although I was given nappies and plastic pants to wear and my bed had a thick and very noisy plastic sheet on I was expected to deal with my own laundry, wet sheets, nappis or pants and if I wanted the bed changing I was expected to do mit my self. Often I never bothered as I knew I would wet the bed again the following night so couldn't see the point in changing the sheets. My sister used to delight in showing her friends my wet bed so everyone knew I was a bedwetter. I suspect my mother knew I did it on purpose but nothing was ever said about it, only that I shouldn't be still wetting the bed at my age.
