Like you, I too take bed-wetting “stuff” on trips. But I travel light packing only plastic pants and safety pins. Carry-on security has never questioned the pins, not sure why. Anyway, on the road, I use bath towels for diapers. In the morning, if wet, I rinse out the towels. No one is the wiser.
When younger and more paranoid, in hotels/motels I’d also take down the shower curtain and sleep on it just in case. Now, well, guess I’m better with my makeshift diapers and in general less concerned about leaks.
