Was different for me. Except for brief periods, mom kept me in night diapers till I quit wetting in my tenth year. In her defense, and it seems strange now, there was only one set of sheets for my bed, hence they had to be washed and dried the day they were wet. Making it worse, we didn’t have an automatic washer or dryer, hence laundry was a big deal for her.
As for raising a stink, wouldn’t have happened. You see, even back then a part of me quite enjoyed night diapers, and bed-wetting for that matter.
