For me bedwetting resurfaced at age 6 after my parents divorce. The diapers came along after a visit to the doctor, he suggested to mom,"just put him back in diapers for a while."Except for the humiliation of having my privates exposed and probed I did not think about his statement until about a week later.As I was getting ready for bed mom came in to help me, as she always did. She carried a small package that she left on the foot of my bed. As I stripped down to my briefs I reached for my pj's, mom asked me to remove my undies, which I always kept on under my pj's. Then she reached for the package and out came diapers, pins, powder and plastic panties.She reminded me of what the doc had said and told me that I would have a nice dry bed again and save her much work if I would wear them. Having been out of diapers for years this was not an option. Well I was soon found crying myself to sleep with diapers and plastic pants under my pj's. It took a while but I started to enjoy the dry bed and gradually accepted the diapers. I think it makes a much bigger mental impact going back into diapers, than if you have never been out of them.
