My diapers were cloth with plastic panties and it started around 6. I remember being called to my room and mom and dad were there and at the foot of my bed were the diapers and rubber pants. Mom and dad sat with me and explained that they had decided that it would be better if I wore diapers to bed because I was wetting all the time. I started to cry because I was a big girl and didn't want to wear diapers but they were ready for it and talked with me about the diapers and told me that when I stopped wetting there would be no more diapers and they made a promise to do that. While it did help I lay down on the bed and as they were put on mom and dad kept reassuring me that this would stop when I stopped wetting the bed. Some 8 years later it stopped. After the first couple of weeks I did get used to being diapered and mom tried to make it as quiet and comfortable a time as possible and was usually done about a half hour before bed.
