Dr Thomas John Speaker wrote “Psychosexual Infantilism in Adults: The Eroticization of Regression.” He wasn’t a paedo and in fact, his studies of the topic threw light onto what had hitherto been a virtually unknown subject and academically demonstrated that it was unrelated to paedophilia.
His research attempted to trace the origins of paraphilic infantilism (google it) and postulated that these arose from our early psychosexual development. Psychosexual development starting in infancy is a biological & psychological reality (Freud) and references to it in an effort to explain our puzzling predilections are far from prurient.
GCWetter (whimsically) asserted that lax or ineffective toilet training could see a future spike in ABDL behaviours as they arrive at adulthood (can’t remember him suggesting that we start trawling schools for playmates). My reply was that the available research suggests that the converse is true.
I won’t take issue with your grammar or your assumptions about my parental status but if you are indeed a teacher of 30 years standing, I would expect that you might at least read a text before critiquing it or even just attacking its author with a slanderous suggestion – I think you owe T J Speak an apology.
