I agree with TI in that under relatively snug slacks/jeans, Depends are just fine. It is amazing how clothing quiets down the crinkling sound, even from plastic pants. I know of some folks that simply wear 3 or 4 pairs of fairly thick cotton underwear with plastic pants over them and get along just fine. So give those Depends a try - Try taking a little walk around the block or a trip to the mall and I think you will be pleased with the results.
