Thank you for sharing all this, Liz. Unfortunately these kind of heartfelt posts are rare, especially on an anonymous forum like wetset. There's several sites out there, if you haven't already found them, where you're more likely to have some deeper conversations about this.
One thing that most of us have to come to accept is that whether or not we can trace influences to this life event or that, there ultimately is no "why".
I think the best peace that can be made with the total randomness of this, or most any desire, is the people you end up meeting who you wouldn't have met if weren't into diapers/wetting.
