Hmmm... That's really interesting... And while it may be possible that you fabricated this or the people posting fabricated their experiences, it still is a thought that has never crossed my mind...
I'm read recently many experiences (and had one mentioned to me by a friend) regarding bathroom breaks in bands, but I never really thought about cheerleading... Though, I assume that they're talking more about hard-core cheerleading rather than the generic basketball type, given that much more energy and concentration is required for the former...
Huh... Well, for better or worse, there seem to be more and more people getting into diapers...
