I haven't been here in many a year. There may be some here who still remember me from when I used to post translations from Japanese message boards, and perhaps pen a story or two on occasion, and numerous good reasons have kept me from posting here for many years.
However, some time ago I stumbled across some threads on Japanese message boards that intrigued me for a spell, and I wanted to put up translations of them here that I might have the benefit of interested partiesf thoughts and reactions.
I will endeavor to preserve the flavour and character of the original as I render it into English, including close approximations of the emoticons utilized in the original, but Ifll refrain from offering my own position on the content until after some comments have been posted.
What follows is a healthy sampling of what is in fact a plethora of what purports to be firsthand information regarding the prevalence of wetting and diaper use in the context of high school and university cheerleading. The first three threads below are from a wetting forum and at the end the results of a survey on the topic.

i do cheerleading at my high school and i wear diapers under my cheer pants (bloomers) because i sometimes wet myself during practice.
i thought i was the only one, but i found out that a bunch of other girls do, too, including my seniors.
i know there's a lot of times at rallies and tournaments that the toilets are too crowded, so I wonder if there are a lot more cheerleaders that wear diapers under their uniforms?

Hi, I'm new here. At my school we're not allowed to go to the bathroom during practice either, so almost everybody in my club wears diapers. Wetting is pretty usual for us. A few of my seniors wear diapers and bloomers even outside of club. I go through the day with kind of tight navy bloomers on my diaper, then shorts and mini-skirt.

Nice to meet you. I think at my school just about all of us use diapers. Cheer is a group activity, so it's not like we can just go to the toilet whenever we need to. For that reason the only ones who don't wear diapers are the ones who are really confident that they can hold it.~
Also, at tournaments and such the toilets are so crowded you can't use them at all, so I think there are girls wearing diapers at every school.

Yeah a few girls have had wet bloomers. Even if you're wearing diaper, if you pee a lot or do too much at once, it will leak out and make a spot, and also when you do some intense motion that puts pressure on your bum then the diaper can leak, and the spot will show if your skirt goes up.

It's just that I'm not used to wearing diapers to school yet, I just started yesterday, and yesterday I was in a track suit all day, so....
School uniform has a skirt and no matter if you're wearing bloomers it's still uneasy.
My tennis uniform is the skirt and overpants. They're not that different than undershorts, but still... So diapers show at the top of your thighs and also, the top of the diaper comes up to your stomach so like umm if you move.... So that's why that time...

I'm usually wearing bloomers a size smaller so the shape of my butt won't look too odd, so they probably do stick out. On the other hand during club it's bigger sized ones so my diaper shouldn't stick out even though there are some times I have a flood and it gets onto my bloomers.
They're navy blue so it would be so easy to tell and embarrassing if they stick out~. I have to be careful about that too.

When we were doing sit-ups during muscle training, I put all my strength into my abdomen and it made me pee. I was really weak when I first started club and couldn't really do sit-ups, and that time when I peed was the first time I was able to really do it. Because of the position I was in you could see my bottom was we (anon)

When I found out I might have a problem that I pee in my pants when I use my strength, it was suggested to me to always wear a diaper and bloomers under my skirt during practice and so on. at my first tournament i was so nervous as soon as i went out on stage i peed my pants. my socks and shoes were all soggy but i guess because everyone else was so nervous they didn't notice, and i just went through the thing as if nothing happened. after it was over (anon)

There was a lot of girls who leaked when they got nervous. Usually they try to pass it off as sweat at first, but when they find out somebody else peed themselves they admit that they did, too. Even the ones who don't admit to it get seen when changing clothes, and you can tell if they have some yellow in their pants or their diapers are swollen and you know they did it (anon)
I started cheering in first year, and I saw a few girls every year have accidents when they were nervous. We had a rule that if anybody wet their pants during practice or in a tournament or wet their bed during lodging they had to start wearing diapers. By the time I left the club more than half of us were in diapers. (anon)
One of my juniors in the club did. She was really timid and whenever she got yelled at by one of the seniors she would cry, and sometimes pee a little bit in her pants.
